This Refund Policy applies to all purchases and transactions made on PredictArena (predictarena.io), operated by MindMetrics International S.R.L, incorporated under the laws of Costa Rica. World Cup Pass purchases are processed via on-chain USDC on the Base network.
Please read this policy carefully before making any purchase or deposit. This policy forms part of our Terms & Conditions and is incorporated therein by reference.

The World Cup Pass is a one-time digital access product. It grants full access to PredictArena from June 11, 2026 to July 19, 2026 at 23:59:59 UTC (the duration of FIFA World Cup 2026). It is a personal, non-transferable, non-assignable digital licence.

1.1 Refund Before First Activation
You are entitled to a full refund of the USD 4.99 purchase price if you meet both of the following conditions:
This right is consistent with your statutory rights as a consumer in many jurisdictions, including the EU Consumer Rights Directive (Directive 2011/83/EU) right of withdrawal for distance sales of digital content prior to delivery commencement.
1.2 How to Request a Pre-Activation Refund

We will verify eligibility within 2 business days. Eligible refunds are processed on-chain and typically credited within 5-10 business days.
1.3 No Refund After Activation
Once you have completed the activation flow following purchase, no refund is available under any circumstances except as required by applicable mandatory consumer protection law that cannot be excluded by contract.
During the activation flow, you are presented with a dedicated consent screen that clearly states:
This consent is recorded server-side with your Account ID, IP address, and timestamp in compliance with EU Consumer Rights Directive Article 16(m) and equivalent consumer protection legislation. By clicking confirm on the activation screen, you create a binding record of this consent.
1.4 Pass Expiry -- No Pro-Rata Refund
The World Cup Pass expires on July 19, 2026 at 23:59:59 UTC, coinciding with the end of FIFA World Cup 2026. No refund, credit, or pro-rata compensation is available for any period of time remaining unused at expiry. The pass duration, start date, and expiry date are clearly stated at the point of purchase and on the Platform pricing page.
1.5 Platform Discontinuation Before Pass Expiry
In the unlikely event that PredictArena ceases operations before July 19, 2026, Users who have active World Cup Passes will be entitled to a pro-rata refund of the unused portion of their $4.99 Pass, calculated from the date of discontinuation. We are committed to honouring this obligation and to providing at least 14 days' advance notice of any planned discontinuation. Emergency discontinuation (e.g. due to regulatory action) may not allow for advance notice, but refund obligations remain.
PredictArena offers a 2-day free trial to all new users. The free trial:
There is nothing to refund in relation to the free trial. If you choose not to purchase the World Cup Pass, your trial simply expires and no charge is ever made.
USDC deposits made to your PredictArena platform balance are on-chain blockchain transactions. They are not refundable as fiat currency under any circumstances. This is a fundamental property of blockchain technology and not a policy choice: once a USDC transaction is confirmed on the Base blockchain, it is irreversible at the protocol level.
3.1 Your USDC is Always Yours
Your USDC platform balance is always accessible and withdrawable. You retain ownership of your USDC at all times, subject only to:
3.2 Deposit Not Received
If a deposit does not appear in your platform balance within 30 minutes of the on-chain transaction being confirmed by the Base network, contact support@predictarena.io with:
We will investigate and credit confirmed deposits within 24 hours.
3.3 Wrong Token or Wrong Network
The Platform accepts USDC on Base only. Deposits of any other token, or USDC on any blockchain other than Base, may result in permanent loss of funds. We will make reasonable efforts to investigate and recover incorrectly deposited funds where technically possible, but we cannot guarantee recovery and accept no liability for such losses. Always verify: (a) the token is USDC; (b) the network is Base; (c) the destination address matches your Platform-generated deposit address before sending.
3.4 Deposit to Incorrect Platform Address
If you send USDC to an address that is a valid Platform-generated address but belongs to a different account, contact support immediately. Such cases are investigated on a case-by-case basis. Recovery is not guaranteed.
Pool allocations executed by your Agent are final once confirmed to the pool. They cannot be cancelled, reversed, or refunded while the pool is open or after settlement, except in the specific circumstances below.
4.1 Winning Allocations
If your Agent's allocation is to the winning outcome, the payout is credited once to your PA wallet balance after Settlement.
4.2 Losing Allocations
If your Agent's allocation is to a losing outcome, the allocated amount is not returned. This is the fundamental nature of the participant-funded pool model: losing allocations form part of the prize fund distributed to participants who allocated to the winning outcome. This is disclosed clearly in the Platform mechanics, the Terms & Conditions, and the FAQ. Losing allocations are not eligible for refund under any circumstances.
4.3 Abandoned, Postponed, or Cancelled Matches
If a match is:
then affected active Allocations may be voided and refunded in full to participants' PA wallet balances after the event is confirmed by our Data Provider and settlement controls.
Matches that are completed with additional time, penalty shootouts, or any other variation from normal play are not considered abandoned or cancelled, and Pools are settled on the official full-time or final result as reported by our Data Provider.
4.4 Data Provider Errors
If a Pool is settled on an incorrect result due to an error by our sports data provider, and this error is confirmed by us within 24 hours of Settlement, we will take one of the following actions at our sole discretion:
We will communicate any Settlement reversal, re-settlement, or void decision to all affected Users via email and in-platform notification within 2 hours of the decision. The Company's decision on data provider error disputes is final.
Settlement disputes must be reported to support@predictarena.io within 24 hours of Settlement. Disputes reported after this window will not be investigated.
4.5 Kill Switch Activation
In the event that the Platform Kill Switch is activated, all pending Settlements are immediately frozen. Open Allocations are held in place while the issue is investigated. Following investigation:
Kill Switch activation does not entitle Users to refunds for open Allocations unless a void decision is made. The Company will communicate Kill Switch status to all Users within 2 hours of activation.
4.6 Pool Lock Violations
All Pools lock 90 seconds before kickoff, enforced server-side. No Allocations may be submitted after the lock time. If, due to a technical error, an Allocation is accepted by the Platform after the lock time, that Allocation will be voided and refunded to the User's PA wallet balance within 24 hours.
Withdrawal transactions submitted to the blockchain are irreversible. The Company cannot reverse, recall, or recover USDC once a withdrawal transaction is confirmed on-chain. You are solely responsible for verifying the correctness of the destination wallet address before authorising any withdrawal.
5.1 Withdrawal to Incorrect Address
If you submit a withdrawal to an incorrect address provided by you, the funds are unrecoverable. The Company accepts no liability for losses arising from user-provided incorrect withdrawal addresses. Always verify the full wallet address before confirming a withdrawal request.
5.2 Withdrawal Not Received
If a withdrawal transaction is confirmed on-chain but USDC does not appear in your wallet within 5 minutes, contact support@predictarena.io with your transaction hash. We will investigate and respond within 24 hours. Note: delivery to your wallet depends on your wallet provider's display refresh -- check the Base blockchain explorer (basescan.org) to verify on-chain status independently.
5.3 Withdrawal Held for Compliance Review
If your withdrawal is subject to a compliance hold, we will notify you by email within 2 business days of the hold being placed, with an explanation of the reason (where legally permissible to disclose) and the steps required to resolve it. We do not hold withdrawals for longer than necessary to complete required compliance checks.
If you have a dispute regarding a charge, we strongly urge you to contact us at support@predictarena.io before initiating any dispute. Most billing issues can be resolved directly and more efficiently.
6.1 Legitimate Payment Disputes
If you believe you were charged in error (e.g. duplicate charge, amount discrepancy, charge after no-card trial), email support@predictarena.io with your transaction reference. We will investigate and resolve legitimate billing errors within 5 business days.
6.2 Chargeback Consequences
Initiating a chargeback with your card issuer without first contacting us may result in:
In the event that a chargeback is initiated, the Company will contest it with evidence of the transaction, activation record, and these Terms. Frivolous chargebacks may be reported to relevant fraud prevention authorities.
6.3 Unrecognised Charges
If you choose to close your Account, your available USDC balance will be processed for withdrawal to your registered wallet address within 5 business days of receipt of your closure request, subject to:
World Cup Pass fees are not refunded on account closure if the Pass has been activated.
Company-Initiated Termination
If the Company terminates your Account for breach of Terms, compliance reasons, or fraud:
Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any statutory consumer rights you may have under applicable mandatory consumer protection legislation in your jurisdiction that cannot be excluded by contract. Where applicable mandatory law provides greater rights than this Policy, those statutory rights prevail.
